Introduction
This special Web page is a central source of information and
materials relevant to the baseline place-to-place surveys to be
conducted in 2010 by the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC)
at all headquarters duty stations and Washington, DC. (see
survey schedule)The procedures described are based on the methodology approved by the
70th session of the ICSC.
The Web page is designed to facilitate the successful administration of
the survey by helping all the key players in their respective roles in
the survey process.
For survey coordinators, there is a checklist of tasks to be performed,
templates of the personnel list, the
initial broadcast message to staff,
the outlet recruitment letter and the
cover letter for pricing agents;
and other documents related to the administration of the survey
including the Coordinator’s Report.
For staff at large, there is a section on
frequently asked questions
(FAQs), an electronic diary for recording household expenses, both
electronic and
hardcopy versions
of the questionnaires and instructions
on how to complete them.
